Munich is a 5-piece indie-rock band originally formed in 2002. The core of the band has remained the same with the addition of front singer Karin Nielsen and electronic-musician Jonas Rasmussen. Munich has played over 30 live shows at festivals and venues across Denmark. In the summer of 2005 Munich’s EP “With Smiling Lips” was released, receiving high praise from the Danish music press. Munich then recorded their song “In Your Rooms” on request of the Dutch indie label “Volkoren”. The song features as the final track on the company’s compilation record titled “The Pet Series”. The record was distributed throughout Europe and received four stars in “Gaffa” – Denmark’s largest music magazine. It was also highly acclaimed in the Danish indie trendsetting magazine “Geiger”. In both publications Munich’s track was recognized as one of the best on the record.
