Marius is a rock band from the Faroe Islands. The band was founded in 2003. The current line-up was finalised in the autumn of 2005. The bands first album "The sky is our home" is out july, 2006 on Tutl Records. You can hear two songs from the album right here. The music is based around the songwriting of frontman and singer Hans Marius. Hans Marius, who previously fronted faroese pop/rock band Flux, is a gifted songwriter, with an ear for catchy, heartfelt melodies. Supported by a strong unit of musicians the music takes on an additional dimension when arranged and performed by the band. Marius won the Global Battle of the Bands National Final in the Faroe Islands on nov. 19th 2005, and played the GBOB World Final at London Astoria on dec. 7th, where they reached 6th place.
