TORD GUSTAVSEN TRIO – with Jarle Vespestad (drums) and Harald Johnsen (double bass). Imaginative playing in a unique amalgam inspired by Scandinavian folk music, hard bop, and Caribbean music, as well as contemplative European jazz traditions; featuring Tord’s own compositions. The trio’s debut album “Changing Places” was released 2003 on the ECM label with world-wide distribution, and the follow-up “The Ground” is released in 2005. The trio has been Tord’s major projects during the later years, with extensive touring in Norway, Germany, France, Italy, UK, USA, Canada, and Australia. (source: www.tordg.no)
