Housewife Lovers
biography / portrait

Housewife Lovers became a band the fall of 2003. The band was from the beginning Henric Claesson (vocals and electric guitar) and Andreas Andersson (electric guitar). They wrote and recorded songs with Erik Nylén (who has produced the Danish band Lampshade´s fullength album because trees can fly) in a apartment in Malmö, Sweden. HWL sent the recordings to the Swedish music magazine Groove, who liked it and wrote a nice review. The first concert took place in an apartment in Malmö. Then HWL did a few apartment-concerts, during one of the apartment-shows, the singer Henric sang trough a karaoke- system. The concerts were performed with a drum machine, but in early mars 2004 HWL got a new member, Petrus Lilja (drums), who also brought a rehearsal room. The 6th of mars HWL were played in Swedish radio. The song laura could be heard in the radio-show p3 demo where other Swedish upcoming bands are played. HWL recorded new material in late May 2004. The new songs were made in the rehersal room together with Petrus. The recordings were placed on a new cd-demo together with old recordings. April 2005: the new member Kristofer Lilja arrives. He adds the missing pieces with synthesizer, drumpads and guitar. Housewife Lovers sounds a little bit new, it´s popmusic.
