In September 1999, Michael Adler Miltersen and Erin Chapman formed Sepiamusic in Copenhagen, Denmark. Michael was born and raised in Denmark, and has been creating and playing music since childhood. Electronic music is his main focus and in the summer of 1999, he teamed up with Erin, originally from the USA, who is debuting for Sepiamusic as the singer and lyricist. The groups sound is best described as a mix of masculine and feminine atmospheres, blending electronic beats and acoustic sounds, to create rich, multi-leveled tracks. After a long musical journey, including a demo track making it to Danish National Radio P3s Weeks Most Unavoidable, two .1 hits on the indie-hitlist garageband.com and collaborations with upcoming artists in the drumnbass, DJ, lounge and hip hop markets. The group independently released their debut album titled Prototype written, recorded and produced in Sepiamusics own studio in Copenhagen. The groups live performance is a powerful, energetic mix of electronic atmospheres, driving rock emotion, and rich acoustic sounds. The band consists of Erin on lead vocals, Michael on synths and rhythm acoustic guitar, a bass player playing acoustic double bass & electric bass, a lead guitarist and drummer/ percussionist. Sepiamusic live shows will begin in summer of 2003. The enigmatic sound of Sepiamusic has been compared to a melding of Madonna meets Frou Frou and Zero 7.
