Barbados Swing
biography / portrait

Barbados Swing is a Danish indie pop band with a weakness for strange and curious musical inputs.

Barbados Swing plays a form of Music Noir - modern, dreamy guitar pop added 30s’ cabaret style. With the aim of entertaining and surprising their audience, Barbados Swing differs from the common output on the Danish indie scene.

Radio hits, lots of concerts, honorable mentions of songwriting, and latest a contribution of 2 songs to the soundtrack of the movie “Return To Sender” (2005) by Oscar winning director Bille August featuring Connie Nielsen and Aidan Quinn, are some of Barbados Swing’s achievements.

The band has a talent for writing melodic pop tunes that balances on the edge of the unusual and the familiar.
It's the kind of band that sticks out and moves the audience with the very sincerity of their music and sparkling sound. Simply put, Barbados Swing has that “thing” that makes the music permeate grey skies and heart-breaks disappear with a brush of exotic sunshine.
