Nilla Nielsen is a singer/songwriter inspired in her expression by the likes of Daniel Lanois, U2, Bob Dylan, Alanis Morissette, Tracy Chapman and Joan Osborne. Her music puts great focus on melody, feelings and strong personal lyrics, always with a story to tell. The album ”Redemption Sky” is made in close collaboration with producer Nils Erikson (who has been nominated twice for Grammis for his own solo albums). Together they create an exciting musical landscape with depth and spirit. The main part of this album is recorded in Nils´ studio in the countryside of Skåne and in Nilla´s ”Gecko Studio” in a charming old house with wall paintings and hippievibes. The production is experimental, presence and feelings are almost tangible in these enchanting recordings. Mysterious samplings are mixed with acoustic instruments, raw guitars, harmonica and piano that together with Nillas warm soulfull voice draws the listener into a magical world.
