Benedicte Brænden started her musical carreer in the band “Negative Creep” at age thirteen. Since then she has been the lead singer of rock band “Bazooka Boppers”, which in 2004 released the vinyl single “Shake It”, and the debut album “Bad Girl Boogie”. Norwegian media called their music a crossover between Motörhead and Chuck Berry. Her stage appearance is much talked about because of its unique blend of energy and finesse. Some also mentioned a resemblance to the vocals of Bon Scott. In 2005, she decided to go solo, but this time turning towards alternative country. As a solo artist, Benedicte has played festivals with celebrities such as Dwight Yoakam, Nancy Griffith and Asleep at the Wheel. Spring 2007, she toured in Europe with the legendary band “Tito & Tarantula”, known for writing and acting in Quentin Tarantinos ”From Dusk Till Dawn”, ” Once Upon a Time in Mexico” and ”Desperado”. This fall, she is one of six artists featured in NRK's Saturday prime time show “Lyden av lørdag”. The new year starts off touring all over Europe with German rock/country-band “The Boss Hoss”. Her debut album will be released spring 2008.
