This Danish five piece band calls their music for melodramatic pop and it is an apt description of the emotional and heartfelt music which The Late Parade conjure up with a characteristically bright male voice on top of strings and keyboards. Made for late night hours with only the wind and autumn leaves outside to keep you company. The Late Parade has come a long way since they, with no intentions of becoming a live band, founded back in 2003. Last year they released an EP and today they are getting attention both in and outside Denmark with releases in the Netherlands, Japan and soon more to come. They are playing festivals like the Danish SPOT Festival, Roskilde Festival (DK) and the Multizik Festival (LUX) this summer, hopefully touring in the Netherlands in November, all while working on their forthcoming full-length album, which is due to be released in DK in the beginning of 2009. This is a promising band which got a lot of international potential, so keep and eye on them in the future if you like music as an art form.
